Kuala Lumpur, September 2014 - MY FM 16th Birthday Bash Concert 《MY FM星战16》has just taken place in Setia City Park, Setia Alam a few days ago on 30^th August 2014. The duration of the concert was approximately 3 hours and it was filled with a stellar line-up of performances by the DJs as well as the invited artistes!

Our team from wljack.com & loong-updates.blogspot.com have been given an opportunity to do a coverage on the great event!

Grand Lineups of Artistes! Continuous Fun & Excitement With Non-Stop Performances!

It was one of the grandest Birthday Bash ever MY FM because nearly 50 celebrities have taken part into the concert. Presented by S P Setia, MY FM 16^th Birthday Bash《MY FM星战16》， the artistes who have taken part include Will潘玮柏, Claire郭静,家家, 王大文, James 杨永聪, Freya林凡, 李佳薇, 陈威全, Karen龚柯允, Eric林健辉, Amy王明丽, Athena马嘉轩, Bell 宇田, 黄启铭, FS Fuying & Sam, 朱浩仁, 东于哲, Hank叶俊亨, 周周, Joyce四叶草, Fyone陈慧莹, Stephanie刘佩芯, Alvin 钟瑾桦, Juztin刘界辉, Peace 张诒博, Joe 曾耀祖,  DJ Ken, Geraldine颜慧萍,《Astro新秀大赛2014》Uriah徐凯, Elaine李宜玲, Yuii陈静宜& Ron彭世豪 & New Local singer, 车子.

DJs Took Up Challenges While Delivering Meaningful Messages!

MY FM Birthday Bash this year has the background story which was set in the future world. Earth has become an isolated place with not much life form. 5 representatives from other planets including  血压Gold（Jeff 陈浩然）from Venus, Hollywood（Royce 陈志康）from Jupiter, 古龙水（贾森）from Mercury, 火龙果（Jym庄靖毅） from Mars& 老土（林德荣）from Saturn have been given a task to save Earth.

Earthlings’ roles were played by颜薇恩、Wayne、Emely潘毖伶、Catherine、Roax、Gin（MY FM沙巴DJ）& Penny（MY FM砂拉越DJ）. Each of them has gone through tough challenges.

DJ 尹匯雰 who has just given birth in real life has recorded a video for the concert too. The Birthday Bash this time has also invited Juztin刘界辉 to take part in one of the challenges.

All of the tasks taken up by them were difficult. Some of these tasks include going over a fire circle while on bicycle, breaking obstacles, playing with fires & dangerous magical stunts. All of these have caught the attention of the crowd and entertained everyone on the floor. Worth mentioning is, each of these tasks were complemented with meaningful messages which could inspire the audiences.

Will Pan As The Opening Of The Show! Local Artistes Put Up A Great Performance Comparable With International Acts!

The first performer was Will潘玮柏 who performed小丑 as the kick-starter of the show. After this, he went to the backstage. But he will be appearing again as the long-running concert reached the finale part.

Followed by Will潘玮柏 were artistes including Amy王明丽 & Athena马嘉轩, 王大文, 黄启铭, Bell 宇田, Geraldine 颜慧萍 and etc! It was such a coincidence that there was really rain during the concert as “雨是甜的” was sung by Bell 宇田!

Performance By Astro Star Quests Finalists!

《Astro新秀大赛2014》has reached an end just a few weeks ago. The finalists from this season were invited to perform on stage for MYFM Birthday Bash 2014. It seems like their fans base did not fade off after their competition as many screams and cheers could be heard as they performed Move Like A Jagger On Stage!

James 杨永聪 Sang While Playing His Guitar! 东于哲 Wowed The Audiences!

James has stood on the centre of the stage playing his guitar while singing three of his popular songs including 好久不见, 我愿意, Stay. His unique voice was amazing and I am sure the crowd wished that he could STAY longer on stage for them.

After James’ performance, it was东于哲’s turn to rock the stage. They have performed the song “WOW” and indeed wowed the audiences with their energetic singing and dancing!

The Gathering of the movie “The Gathering 同学会” On Stage!

Hank叶俊亨& 周周 sang “我的小气鬼” &车子 sang”还是会想你” on stage! Besides these, there was a part where all of them came on stage and sang together like a LIVE Gathering of the new local movie, “The Gathering 同学会”!

家家 came on stage with her mesmerizing voice! She was happy that the audiences knew the lyrics!

家家then appeared on stage to perform two songs. During her singing of “为你的寂寞唱歌”, she was surprised that all the audiences actually knew how to sing the song. She was smiling in response to the great sing-a-long by the audiences!

Groups of singers brought up the heat!

There were a few units of celebrities which have performed on their own followed by grouped-up performance with the others. All of them have brought up the heat during the concert!

Juztin 刘界辉. Fyone陈慧莹 , Stephanie刘佩芯 , Peace 张诒博 & Joe 曾耀祖 have collaborated with DJ Ken in performing remixed version of半斤八两 crossover Work Hard. It was really very catchy!

On the other hand, Karen龚柯允 & Joyce四叶草 have brought in the Malaysian flavors to the concert with the songs like Setia, Lenggang Kangkung, Rasa Sayang and Joyce’s Malaysia Chabor.

The group which has totally hyped me up were the combo of FS Fuying & Sam , Eric 林健辉 & Alvin 钟瑾桦. They even formed an exclusive group during the concert named as S.A.F.E which was made up from their initials Sam, Alvin, Fuying & Eric. They have brilliantly performed Medley which consists of lively songs such as忐忑, It’s my life, 黑暗骑士 & 离开地球表面. They were jumping on stage & enjoying themselves while the audiences on the floor followed too!

Jess Lee李佳薇 Explosive Vocal! Sang Impromptu of her iconic song 煎熬 as requested!

Our Malaysian “Iron Lung Queen”, Jess Lee李佳薇 has never failed to impress the audiences with her explosive voice and amazing singing! She sang two of her latest songs including像天堂的悬崖 which is one of the current hits in various charts now. Her singing was echoed by the audiences’ voice as the lyrics and songs have really touched the audiences’ hearts and induced them to sing along!

While she didn’t sing the whole song of煎熬, Jess has fulfilled the request by the fans who shouted the song title. She sang an impromptu version of煎熬 chorus! It was really spontaneous but yeah, she has proven herself a great singer with the astonishing vocal!

“非凡” (outstanding) Performance by Freya林凡!

Prior to her appearance on stage, Jack Lim and Jeff jokingly mentioned that the next singer is very 非凡 (outstanding). 非凡 was made up from the pronounciation of her English name and Chinese name, “Fre” from Freya and  “凡” from林凡!

Without further ado, 林凡 has appeared on stage with a glamorous red dress. Well, their description about her being非凡 was actually legit because her performances of岁月这把刀 &明明爱你 were indeed OUTSTANDING!

Cute Sweetheart Claire郭静 Finally Came On Stage After A Long Wait!

Claire郭静 who is a very sweet singer was one of the main reason for the crowd to stay till the end of the show as she’s very well-loved by the Mandopop fans for her song,下一个天亮!

Of course, she did not let the fans down as she has performed that song as well as another two songs, namely, 不还 &即溶爱人! She was really charming and lovely!

Final act of the show! Wilber Pan!

Besides being the opening for the concert, Wilber Pan潘玮柏 was also the final act for the concert. He came back on stage after the nearly 3-hours show and sang 打呼 with Claire. Their chemistry on stage was really good and it was really a great sight for their fans!

After打呼, Wilber Pan has spread his aura by singing王者之声. His charisma was really overloaded and his fans were screaming loudly for him throughout his performance!

Concert Ended With The MY FM Designated Dance For 16^th Birthday Bash!

If you have been following the news of MY FM 16^th Birthday Bash from the beginning till it ended, they have been promoting about this special dance for quite some time. It was really a fun moment as everyone including the celebrities on stage as well as the audiences on the floor danced along to the beat!

Personally, I really think that it was a really great concert. In fact, I can even say that it’s one of the BEST concerts this year with a MASSIVE LINEUPS of artistes! It’s no wonder why it could attract nearly 25,000 audiences to the venue!

Jack Lim who has planned the birthday bash has mentioned that this concert has utilized 500+ staffs and the effort in the production was really huge!

MY FM 16^th Birthday Bash《MY FM星战16》will be divided into two parts and will be aired on Astro华丽台（频道311） & Astro至尊HD（频道310）. The premiere of the two parts will be on 15^th September 2014 & 16^th September 2014, 10.30pm respectively while the rerun of the concert would be on 20^th September 2014 & 21^st September 2014, 12pm.
