Kuala Lumpur, 2026 - Malaysia’s teenagers are getting a brand-new platform to shine as 8TV officially launches its first youth growth reality show, “Youthopia!” (《冲吧！少年》), a programme designed to spotlight young talents while documenting their personal growth journeys. Adding even more excitement to the launch, Malaysian singer-songwriter Firdhaus has been announced as the show’s “Youth Navigator”, guiding the next generation of teens through a passionate and inspiring adventure.

Unlike conventional talent competitions, “Youthopia!” is specially created for teenagers aged 15 years old to 18 years old and focuses on growth rather than elimination. The show will not revolve around rankings or comparison. Instead, it will place participants in various tasks and training sessions that challenge them to step out of their comfort zones, cope with pressure, and discover their potential. Through this process, audiences will get to witness the youths’ determination and resilience in areas such as music, dance, and sports.

8TV Programme Director 黄裕丽 shared that in today’s fast-changing media landscape, television remains more than just a source of entertainment. It also serves as an important platform to accompany and guide the younger generation as they grow. She explained that the launch of “Youthopia!” reflects 8TV’s hope to create a genuine space for Malaysian teenagers to express themselves and bravely pursue their dreams.

She also noted that young people today need more than just a stage — they also need direction and companionship. For that reason, the programme is not simply a competition, but a journey of self-discovery and confidence-building. Through the show, 8TV hopes to unlock the participants’ potential, encourage more youths to be seen, and let audiences appreciate the passion and limitless possibilities of this generation.

The inspiration behind the programme is also closely tied to Firdhaus himself. Having previously travelled to Africa for volunteer work involving children, he was deeply moved by the warmth and enthusiasm of the youngsters there. That experience led him to initiate a programme that could accompany Malaysian teenagers through an important phase of their lives. Besides Firdhaus as the main guide, the show also features a youthful support lineup including Emily Chua, Janice Yoong, and Chris, who will serve as “Youth Junior Captains” and stand side by side with the participants throughout the challenges. In addition, several artistes will be invited during the recording process to share their own stories of chasing dreams, offering even more inspiration to the teens.

At the same time, “Youthopia!” has officially opened its call for participants from across Malaysia. The recruitment covers three major categories: street dancers with strong dance skills, singers with personal style and creative ability, and cheerleading talents who are brave enough to take on high-difficulty moves. Teenagers aged 15 to 18 who are confident, expressive, and ready to embrace challenges are encouraged to sign up for a chance to join the programme.

Produced by 8TV, with A Kind Man as production house and media partner, CUCKOO as the vitality presenter, and Samsung Galaxy as collaborating partner, “Go! Youth!” will consist of 8 episodes. Filming is expected to begin in mid-May, while the programme is slated for broadcast in mid-July. The show is also supported by Viralcham and YesBoss as media partners in helping to promote the programme.

不同于一般竞技选秀节目，《冲吧！少年》 专为 15至18岁 青少年量身打造，节目不设淘汰机制，也不以比较为导向，而是通过一系列任务与训练，记录少年们在有限时间内走出舒适圈、面对压力并完成挑战的过程。观众将透过节目见证他们在 音乐、舞蹈以及体育 等领域中所展现出的潜能、毅力与韧性。

八度空间节目总监 黄裕丽表示，在媒体环境快速变迁的当下，电视始终不只是娱乐的载体，更是陪伴与引导年轻一代成长的重要平台。八度空间推出 《冲吧！少年》，正是希望为马来西亚青少年打造一个可以真实展现自我、勇敢追梦的舞台。她也指出，当代年轻人需要的并不只是一个表演空间，更需要方向与陪伴。因此，这档节目不仅是一场竞赛，更是一段关于探索自我与建立自信的成长旅程。八度空间也期望透过节目激发参与者的潜能，让更多年轻人被看见、被鼓励，同时让观众看见这一代少年的热血与无限可能。

而这档节目的发起，也与菲道尔早前的一段经历息息相关。菲道尔曾远赴非洲参与儿童义工工作，并深深受到当地孩子们的热情与真挚感染，因此萌生了制作这档节目的想法，希望能够陪伴少年们走过一段重要的人生成长期。除了由菲道尔担任“少年领航员”之外，节目也集结了一众年轻面孔，包括 Emily 蔡瀞萱、Janice Yoong 容芷芊以及 Chris 官杰皓，共同担任“少年小领队”，与参与者并肩作战。与此同时，节目录制期间也将邀请多位艺人参与其中，分享各自的追梦经历，为少年们带来更多启发与鼓励。

目前，《冲吧！少年》 已正式向全马少年发出召集令。此次招募涵盖 三大领域，包括擅长舞蹈的街舞少年、具备个人特色与创作能力的唱将，以及敢于挑战高难度动作的啦啦队精英。凡年龄介于 15至18岁、勇于表达自我并敢于迎接挑战的少年，皆可报名参与，争取加入节目的机会。

由 八度空间出品、有种人 A Kind Man 制作兼媒体伙伴、CUCKOO 活力呈献 及 Samsung Galaxy 作为合作伙伴的 《冲吧！少年》，全节目共 8集，预计将于 5月中旬开拍，并在 7月中旬正式播出。此外，节目也获得 Viralcham 与 YesBoss 担任媒体伙伴，共同推广本次节目。
