[Coverage] Elyn Leong 2nd Solo Single《小小的我们》Launch

Kuala Lumpur, 2026 — Malaysian singer and former child star Elyn Leong recently held the official launch ceremony for her 2nd solo single《小小的我们》, marking another important step in her journey as a solo artiste.

Following the release of her first solo single “Call 911”, Elyn made a swift return within about two months with a completely different ballad track. For《小小的我们》, she personally took part in both lyric and music composition, allowing the song to carry a more intimate connection to her own story.

At the launch ceremony, Elyn shared that《小小的我们》condenses her 23 years of growth into one song. The track not only records her transformation throughout the years, but also reflects the emotions of being forced to grow up while still longing to reconnect with the innocence and sincerity of childhood.

Having started out as a child star, Elyn recalled that she was first “pushed onto the stage” by her mother when she was seven years old. What began as a childhood experience slowly became the starting point of her passion for performing. Later, when she went overseas alone to pursue her dreams, she often tried not to worry her parents by learning, adapting and pretending to be an adult. Over time, she said, pretending to be grown up eventually made her truly become one.

Because of this journey, Elyn admitted that she now misses the lively and cheerful version of herself as a child even more. Through《小小的我们》, she hopes to rediscover and embrace the “little self” within her heart, while reminding herself to protect the most genuine part of who she is.

Speaking about her current state of mind after going solo, Elyn used a lyric from the new song — “I can’t tell if this is loneliness or freedom” — to describe her feelings. She shared that she was once used to the lively environment of nine girls being together. Now, although she has gained complete freedom to decide her own direction, standing alone at a crossroads can sometimes also feel lonely.

Elyn also revealed that although GEN1ES unexpectedly disbanded in February after only around a year of debut, the bond between the former members remains close. She had just flown to Thailand last week to reunite with the members, showing that their friendship continues even as they each move forward on different paths.

After going through a period of confusion following the sudden change, Elyn chose to turn the situation around by becoming more proactive in shaping her future. With the release of《小小的我们》, she continues to show her determination to move forward as a solo performer.

During the launch ceremony, Elyn mentioned that the high-pressure training she experienced during her girl group days helped her overcome stage fright. She shared that she now feels much more comfortable on stage and is able to enjoy performing with greater confidence.

As for her future direction, Elyn stressed that she does not want to limit herself to just one identity. Whether as a creator, idol, model, singer or actress, she believes all these roles are part of who she is. She shared that whenever she has an idea now, she will go ahead and put it into action.

Elyn also surprised the media by hinting that her next single may possibly be a Thai song. She even introduced herself in Thai on the spot, showing her openness to exploring different languages and wider possibilities in her music career.

In conjunction with the release of《小小的我们》, Elyn will also be launching a special photobook project. Part of the proceeds will be used to support special children communities, reflecting her wish to give back to society through meaningful action.

One of the heartwarming highlights of the ceremony was the appearance of Somi, a five-year-old girl who recently gained popularity online. Elyn specially invited Somi to star in the music video for《小小的我们》, symbolising the younger version of herself. Their interaction on stage was adorable and instantly warmed the hearts of those present.

Towards the end of the event, Elyn led her dancers in a live performance of her first solo single “Call 911”. With sharp dance moves, confident stage presence and professional singing-dancing abilities, she successfully heated up the atmosphere and showcased her solid performance skills as a solo artiste.

Through《小小的我们》, Elyn Leong not only shares a personal record of her growth, but also delivers a heartfelt message to listeners: even when life pushes us to grow up, we should never forget the small, sincere self within us.

吉隆坡 — 童星出身的马来西亚歌手梁愉苓（Elyn）近日举办第2支个人单曲《小小的我们》发布会，带着这首亲自参与词曲创作的抒情作品回到大众视线，继续以个人姿态展开音乐旅程。

继首支个人单曲《Call 911》后，梁愉苓仅相隔约2个月便推出风格截然不同的《小小的我们》。不同于《Call 911》展现的动感唱跳魅力，《小小的我们》更着重于情感表达，也让大家听见她较为细腻、真诚的一面。

发布会上，梁愉苓分享，《小小的我们》浓缩了她23年来的成长经历。这首歌不仅记录了她一路以来的蜕变，也反映了一个人在现实环境中被迫成长的心境。她希望透过这首歌，重新找回并拥抱内心深处那个“小小的自己”。

回首自己的演艺之路，梁愉苓透露，自己7岁时算是被妈妈“逼上舞台”。不过，正是在一次又一次的表演经历中，她慢慢发掘出对舞台与表演的热爱。后来独自到海外追梦时，为了不让父母担心，她总是一边学习、一边适应，一边假装自己已经是个大人。她感性表示，装久了之后，自己好像真的就这样长大了。

也因为这样的成长过程，梁愉苓坦言，如今反而更加怀念小时候那个活泼、开朗、无忧无虑的自己。她希望透过《小小的我们》，好好拥抱那个曾经纯粹又真诚的小小自己，也提醒自己不要忘记最初的初心。

谈到单飞后的心境变化，梁愉苓引用《小小的我们》中的一句歌词“分不清孤单还是自由”来形容目前的自己。她表示，过去习惯了9个女生一起生活、训练、吵闹的日子，如今虽然拥有了绝对的自由，可以决定自己的方向，但当一个人站在交叉路口时，也难免会感受到孤单。

梁愉苓也透露，虽然所属海外女团GEN1ES于今年2月无预警解散，而组合仅出道约一年便面对突如其来的变化，但昔日成员之间的感情依旧深厚。她上周还特地飞往泰国与成员们重聚，证明即使大家如今各自走上不同道路，彼此之间的友谊依然没有改变。

经历过组合解散后的迷茫期，梁愉苓选择化被动为主动，以更积极的方式掌握自己的未来。随着《小小的我们》的发行，她也继续展现作为个人歌手重新出发的决心。

发布会上，梁愉苓提到，过去女团时期经历的高压训练帮助她克服了舞台恐惧。她表示，现在站上舞台已经自在许多，也更能够享受表演过程。

对于未来的发展方向，梁愉苓强调不希望被单一身份限制。无论是创作者、偶像、模特儿、歌手还是演员，这些身份都是她的一部分。她坦言，现在只要想到什么，就会勇敢去尝试和执行。

她也在现场惊喜预告，下一首单曲不排除会挑战泰语歌曲，并大方以泰语进行自我介绍，展现出尝试不同语言与市场的心。

当天其中一大温馨亮点，是网络爆红的5岁小女孩Somi现身发布会。梁愉苓特别邀请Somi出演《小小的我们》MV，象征小时候的自己。两人在台上同框互动，画面可爱又温暖，也瞬间萌翻全场。
