[Coverage] THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA @ Istana Budaya. Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur, June 2019 –  As mentioned in my previous post (https://www.wljack.com/2019/06/upcoming-event-phantom-of-opera-in.html ), one of the world best musical, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA has made its way to Kuala Lumpur for a limited season at the Istana Budaya from 15th June 2019 onwards until 7th July 2019. So do catch the show while you still can!

World Class Show! Spectacular Performance!
It is not a wonder for this Andrew Lloyd Webber blockbuster to win over 70 major theatre awards due to its high-quality production. The casts for the show really possess great vocals which totally mesmerized the audience. I really adore the voice of Jonathan Roxmouth who plays the role of The Phantom Of The Opera. His infusion of emotions via his singing is really remarkable. Clara Verdier’s performance as Christine Daaé is also very impressive. Her melodic voice has totally caught the audiences’ heart. Apart from that, I was totally mind-blown by Jana Ellsworth’s astonishing performance as Carlotta Giudicelli. Her high pitch and vocal control is unbelievable.

Seamless Transition! Jaw-dropping scenery and breathtaking special effects!
A highly notable element of the show was the well-crafted props and background scenery that can suck the audience in into the story. The chandelier is definitely one of the limelight of the show. I personally really love the scene when The Phantom Of The Opera brings Christine to his hideout. The boat scene with candles is really memorable. Most importantly, all of these wonderful sceneries were swapped through seamless transition!

Of course, not to forget, the costumes for the casts are very distinctive and imaginative. The variety of colours and the beauty of the attires were prominently presented during the performance of Masquerade!

Overall, I really think that THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA presented by Lunchbox Productions, Base Entertainment Asia and TEG Dainty in Kuala Lumpur is a show not to be missed. Do check out the show before it’s too late!
