Kuala Lumpur, September 2014- Presented by Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS (DFP), DFP Seni Fest 2014 has been held since 16^th September 2014 with Akustika I as the kick starter concert for the festival. It has featured some of our country’s top artistic talents. Our team from wljack.com & loong-updates.blogspot.com have attended Akustika I, Session 2 at night.

By the way, just in case you do not know yet, DFP Seni Fest 2014 have been commenced on 16 September 2014 and will end on 21 September 2014, presenting two unplugged concerts, one MPO concert and an exhibition throughout the week.

Review on Akustika I:

Not Your Usual Acoustic Concert! The Best Of The Best Presented In An Affordable Price!

As we were informed since the press interview previously, this concert will be featuring a lot of acoustic talents from Malaysian which ranges from newbies to the established ones. Whether they are newbies or established ones, all of them have a certain level of standards to be handpicked by DFP as the performers for the concert!

The performers who have performed during Akustika I include OAG, Man Kidal, Sharin Band & Muzza, Alex Subryn, Andy Flop Poppy & Az Samad, Diandra Arjunaidi, Bassment Syndicate, Seven Collar T-shirt, Lab The Rat, MonoloQue.

It’s not a usual acoustic concert you have seen before as it was presented in a superior setting of the prestigious Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS! In fact, it would be a dream come true for not just the audience to watch acoustic performance here but also for the musicians themselves! Most of the performers have expressed how honored they were to be given the opportunity to perform at this prominent hall!

The Crystal Clear Audio Created a Greater Vibes For The Audiences!

With the top-notch sound system in the Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS, the sound produced throughout the concert was amazingly clear and soothing for the audiences’ tympanic pleasure. It gives a totally different experience for an acoustic concert!

I only managed to catch Seven Collar T-shirt, Lab The Rat & MonoloQue performed as I just came back from Malacca that day. Their performances were really great, I love their playing of songs such as “Faith”, “Ukraine”, “Tanah Airku Tanah Airmu Jua” and etc. Each of the performer unit have their fair amount of time on stage! The night ended with “Tidurlah Nyawa” by MonoloQue!

Well, it’s such a shame if you have missed the first unplugged concert because it was really good. However, don’t worry as you can still catch the following two concerts in Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS! Here’s the details:

The festival will culminate with a concert by the MPO themed Malaysia Tanah Airku on Sunday, 21 September 2014 at 8.30 p.m. The audience will be brought down the memory lane through songs such as Seri Mersing, Tanah Pusaka, Cindai, Jauh Jauh, Jeritan Batin and Puteri Santubong.

The MPO will be conducted by Jason Lim and will collaborate with renowned singer Dato’ M Nasir who will sing Bonda, Dato’ Yusni Hamid (Tinggallah Mustika Hati), Nassier Wahab (Warisan) and Datin Alyah (Joget Kenangan Manis), making this a truly memorable concert.

There will be a Festival Pass priced at RM120 for all three concerts. Come and join us in this week-long fabulous music merriment, only at DFP!
