Keluang Man Gala Premiere – Malaysia’s First Superhero Returns to the Big Screen in Style!

Putrajaya, 2025 - The Gala Premiere of Keluang Man, Malaysia’s first and most iconic superhero, brought a night of nostalgia, laughter, and patriotic pride to the red carpet at Putrajaya. With its highly anticipated cinematic debut set to premiere in 154 cinemas across Malaysia and Brunei on 29 May 2025, the premiere gave media, guests, and fans a first glimpse into a bold reimagining of a 1990s classic.

The 132-minute action-packed film follows Borhan, a psychiatric patient haunted by his past, who takes on the vigilante identity of Keluang Man. More than a mere reboot, the film offers a postmodern, emotionally gripping tale with a uniquely Malaysian flavor—crafted entirely by over 1,000 local creative professionals, from CGI and VFX to visual and audio.

Helmed by Anwari Ashraf, known for his acclaimed work on the Polis Evo trilogy and Projek: High Council, Keluang Man also marks the start of the Astro Shaw Cinematic Universe. The star-studded cast includes Nas Muammar Zar, Dato’ Remy Ishak, Datuk Rosyam Nor, Shweta Sekhon, and many more, with surprise cameos from beloved figures like Wahid Senario, Azlee Senario, and Delimawati.

During the premiere, Executive Producer Raja Jastina Raja Arshad emphasized the gravity of reviving such a beloved IP, “Keluang Man is Malaysia’s first original superhero, and we are fully aware that bringing this iconic IP back to the big screen carries a great responsibility. This is not a remake, this film reimagines a beloved national icon, brought to life under the creative direction of Anwari Ashraf. “

Director of Keluang Man, Anwari Ashraf said, "Keluang Man is a love letter to the generation that grew up in the 1990s—a generation full of spirit and values that remain relevant to this day. I believe many have been eagerly waiting to see Malaysia’s first original superhero brought to life in a live-action version. My entire production team and I have given our full commitment to making this film a reality. I deeply appreciate the crew, cast, and fans of this work who have trusted me to lead the film throughout its journey.

Aside from thrilling visuals and storytelling, fans were treated to a revamped version of the original theme song by Krisya and S.O.G, plus nostalgic hits like “Tragedi Oktober”, “Sha Na Na”, and “Terhangat Di Pasaran”, turning the screening into a sing-along trip down memory lane.

The red carpet event also featured exclusive previews of tie-in merchandise and collaborations, including: Wonda Kopi Kluang Edition, Keluang Man x Fung Keong, Royal Selangor Premium Collectibles, Keluang Man x Abstrax, Wonda-ful Keluang Man Burger and Keluang Man WONDA Fun Run.

Tickets went on sale on 21 May, and eager fans can catch a sneak preview screening on 28 May, one day before the official launch. The nationwide Keluang Man promo tour kicks off on 31 May in Johor, continuing across Melaka, Perak, Penang, Kedah, Terengganu, Pahang, and Klang Valley through June.

2025年，布城讯——马来西亚最具代表性的超级英雄《蝙蝠侠Keluang Man》电影版首映礼于布城盛大举行，引发满满的怀旧情怀与热烈反响！电影将于2025年5月29日起在马来西亚和汶莱的154家电影院同步上映，为影迷带来全新视角下的英雄故事。

片长132分钟的电影讲述了Borhan，一名精神病患因过去的阴影而走向复仇之路，并意外成为黑夜中的正义使者——蝙蝠侠Keluang Man。这不仅是一部重启作品，更是马来西亚首部“后现代”超级英雄电影，融合幻想与现实，全片由超过1000名本地创意专业人士共同打造。

电影由Anwari Ashraf执导，他曾参与热门作品如《Polis Evo》三部曲与《Projek: High Council》。本片同时为Astro Shaw电影宇宙（Astro Shaw Cinematic Universe）的起点。演员阵容强大，包括Nas Muammar Zar、拿督Remy Ishak、拿督Rosyam Nor、Shweta Sekhon等人，同时也有Wahid Senario、Azlee Senario、Delimawati等惊喜客串。

电影门票自5月21日起公开发售，粉丝更可于5月28日抢先观赏特别试映场。全国巡演活动将从5月31日柔佛站开启，接着巡回马六甲、霹雳、槟城、吉打、登嘉楼、彭亨、雪隆区，贯穿整个6月。
