Chia Yong 陈嘉荣 and William Seng to Serve as Mentors
Kuala Lumpur, 2024 - After years of anticipation, the "《校园主播培训营》Newscaster Camp," meticulously crafted by 8TV, is making a grand return. It has invited 8TV's Mandarin news anchor Chia Yong 陈嘉荣, content creator William Seng, show host Rickman谢承伟, and Eight FM DJ Hana张心怡 as mentors. Together, they aim to nurture the next generation of talents in broadcasting and hosting for the new era!
Organized by 8TV, with Eight FM as the designated radio station, and Viralcham, Rojaklah, TTN谈谈网, and the education information platform “为成年” as media partners, the "《校园主播培训营》Newscaster Camp" will be held on 20th April 2024 (Saturday) and 21st April 2024 (Sunday), from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM at the Sri Pentas Broadcasting Center in Bandar Utama.
During this two-day camp, accepted participants will have the opportunity to tour TV stations' news studios, recording studios, and radio stations. Additionally, the mentors will take turns teaching classes, helping participants to gain a deeper understanding of the operations in television, radio, and content creation.
8TV will subsequently visit various colleges and universities to promote this training camp. Several news anchors and hosts, including Owen叶剑锋、陈丽亭、Charlotte萧心韵 and Loh罗辰昱, will participate. They will interact with students, sharing their personal journeys and media experiences. Details of the campus promotional events are as follows:
April 3, 2024 (Wednesday)
- 12:00 PM at Oneworld Hanxin College with Owen and Charlotte
- 4:00 PM at Xiamen University Malaysia Campus 厦门大学马来西亚分校 with Owen and Charlotte
April 4, 2024 (Thursday)
- 2:00 PM at Tunku Abdul Rahman University College with Owen, Owen叶剑锋、陈丽亭and Loh罗辰昱
- 4:30 PM at Tunku Abdul Rahman University (Sungai Long Campus) with Owen叶剑锋、陈丽亭and Loh罗辰昱
- 8:00 PM at University of Malaya with Owen叶剑锋、陈丽亭and Loh罗辰昱
The recruitment for this edition of the training camp will officially start on April 1st (Monday). Students aged 16 to 22 who are passionate about current affairs, news, or entertainment hosting, have good language skills, are creative, and are open to various challenges are welcome to apply. The recruitment process involves online registration; applicants simply need to scan a QR code to fill in their personal information and upload a self-introduction video not exceeding two minutes. Spaces are limited, so early registration is advised. The deadline for registration is April 15th (Monday), and those selected will be notified separately.
The "《校园主播培训营》Newscaster Camp," founded by 8TV, aims to discover young talents from across Malaysia, including secondary and tertiary students, and provides them with the opportunity to learn from veterans in the industry. 经八度空间精心策划多时，备受期待的《校园主播培训营》强势归来，特别邀请了八度空间的资深新闻播音员陈嘉荣、著名内容创作人William Seng、知名节目主持Rickman谢承伟及Eight FM的DJ Hana张心怡担任训练营导师，共同致力于塑造新一代的广播与主持新星。
此次《校园主播培训营》由八度空间携手Eight FM为指定电台，Viralcham、Rojaklah、TTN谈谈网以及升学资讯平台“为成年”为媒体伙伴，定于4月20日至21日（星期六至日），上午8点半至下午6点，在Sri Pentas的万达镇广播中心隆重举办。
培训营为期两天，被选中的参与者不仅可以亲临电视台参观新闻直播间、录影棚及广播站，更有机会直接向四位业内资深导师学习，深入探索电视、电台和内容创作等多个媒体领域的实际运作。
八度空间已经成功举办七届《校园主播培训营》, 孕育出众多新闻媒体领域的新星，并获得业界一致好评。在20周年之际，八度空间重启此计划，并对课程内容作出创新调整，旨在培育兼具专业素养与影响力的新闻主播和主持人才，强化他们在传统新闻伦理和思辨能力之上，融入新媒体的创新思维与敏感度。
值得一提的是，八度空间随后将踏入校园，走访不同的大专校园，为本次的培训营宣传造势。届时将有多位新闻主播和主持人参与，包括Owen叶剑锋、陈丽亭、Charlotte萧心韵以及Loh罗辰昱。他们将与学生们互动交流，分享自身心路历程与媒体经验。有关校园造势活动的详情如下：
本届培训营的招募活动将于4月1日（星期一）正式启动。欢迎年龄介于16至22岁、对时事新闻或娱乐主持充满热忱、语言能力佳、富有创意并愿意接受各种挑战的在籍学生报名参加。本次招募采用网上报名方式，只需扫描二维码填写个人信息，并上传一段不超过两分钟的自我介绍视频。名额有限，请尽早报名。报名截止日期为4月15日（星期一），而被录取者将会另行通知。
