[Local News] “《校园主播培训营》Newscaster Camp" Promo Activities
Kuala Lumpur, 2024 – In anticipation of the upcoming "Newscaster Camp 《校园主播营》" news anchors and hosts from 8TV, including Owen叶剑锋、陈丽亭、Charlotte萧心韵 and Loh罗辰昱, have recently visited various higher education institutions in the Selangor and Kuala Lumpur region including Oneworld Hanxin College, Xiamen University Malaysia Campus, Tunku Abdul Rahman University College, Tunku Abdul Rahman University (Sungai Long Campus) and University Malaya.
Owen, with two decades of experience in news broadcasting, opened up about his challenging early days in the profession, He shared on how he initially started out as a part time newscaster. He also recounted a memorable on-air blunder when he incorrectly announced the deputy prime minister's title just three seconds before going live, a mistake that was embarrassing but handled with composure as he continued with the hour-long news segment.
陈丽亭spoke of the physical demands of her job as a journalist, recalling an election coverage where she reported in the pouring rain, staying soaked until the work was done late at night. Drawing a parallel with the character “Man Jie” from the drama “The Queen of News,” she highlighted the joys and challenges of the industry.
Charlotte shared a vulnerable moment from her early career when harsh criticism from a trainer led to an on-air freeze and subsequent tears after filming. Meanwhile, Loh who balances roles as a television and radio host, talked about juggling his on-air duties with his studies and backstage internship on the same show.
Organized by 8TV, with Eight FM as the designated radio station, and Viralcham, Rojaklah, TTN谈谈网, and the education information platform “为成年” as media partners, the "《校园主播培训营》Newscaster Camp" will be held on 20th April 2024 (Saturday) and 21st April 2024 (Sunday), from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM at the Sri Pentas Broadcasting Center in Bandar Utama.

为配合即将举行的《校园主播培训营》，八度空间新闻主播及主持人包括叶剑锋、陈丽亭、Charlotte萧心韵以及Loh罗辰昱，日前走访了雪隆区多所高等学府，如大同韩新学院、厦门大学马来西亚分校、拉曼理工大学、拉曼大学双溪龙镇校区和马来亚大学。他们的到访旨在为活动预热，与学生进行互动并分享个人的职业心得和媒体行业经验。
叶剑锋，拥有20年的播报经验，坦言自己入行初期的不易，““我只是兼职报新闻，每报一次只有60块的报酬，还要经常往返吉隆坡和芙蓉两地，有时真的很累！不过，出于对这份工作的热爱，加上家人们的支持，特别是他们会录下新闻，等我到家后再给我看，这给了我很大的力量，所以我坚持了下来。”此外，他还自爆播报生涯中一件最难忘的糗事，“ 他还分享了一次记忆深刻的播报失误，即在开播前3秒错误地报了副首相的职称，尽管当时极为尴尬，但他还是设法保持了冷静，完成了那一小时的新闻播报。
陈丽亭则谈到了她丰富的采访经历，“新闻工作不仅是脑力活，也是体力活。我记得以前采访过一场补选，不巧遇上大雨，结果我淋着雨冲到现场，湿身做采访，工作持续到晚上结束才能洗澡。”她还以电视剧《新闻女王》中的角色Man姐为例，描述新闻工作的乐趣：“新闻行业充满挑战，追求真相虽辛苦，但获得第一手消息的感觉真是令人兴奋。就像Man姐一样，她对新闻追踪充满了热情！”
《八八六十事》的主持人萧心韵回忆了她职业生涯初期的一次挫败，“有一次被培训老师严厉批评，让我信心受挫。当天还要录制节目，我完全不在状态，导致冷场好几秒钟。后来直到录影结束，我就忍不住哭了起来。”与此同时，罗辰昱，现为电视与电台的主持人，分享了他的多重角色经历，“我出道时还在读书，那时在《八八六十事》做幕后实习，同时也担任主持人。”
由八度空间主办、Eight FM为指定电台，Viralcham、Rojaklah、TTN谈谈网以及升学资讯平台“为成年”为媒体伙伴的《校园主播培训营》，将于4月20日（星期六）及4月21日（星期日），早上8时30分至傍晚6时，在万达镇广播中心（Sri Pentas）举行。
本次培训营邀请到八度空间华语新闻主播陈嘉荣、内容创作者William Seng、节目主持人Rickman谢承伟以及Eight FM DJ Hana张心怡担任导师，共同携手培养新时代的播音与主持人才。在这为期两天的培训营中，录取的学员将有机会参观电视台的新闻直播室、节目录影棚和广播电台等地，同时四位导师也将轮流上阵亲自授课，帮助学员更深入地了解电视、电台、内容创作等不同领域的运作模式。
