[Local Entertainment] 8TV 20th Anniversary Launch 八度空間20週年巨獻推介

Kuala Lumpur, November 2023 - 八度空间 officially launched its 20th-anniversary celebration, with the TV station's senior management leading a group of hosts, news anchors, and guest artists. In the presence of over 3,000 live audience members, the celebration announced the theme as "耀眼20 展翅高飞" and upgraded the slogan for original self-produced programs from "本地最霸" to "原创最霸." It also introduced a series of heavyweight programs, including the public service program "Jasmine爱行动," the second season of the travel reality show "女行出游," the co-produced variety show "综艺玩很大" with Taiwan Television, and the 2024 Lunar New Year TV movie "龙妈精神."

The 8TV 20th-anniversary grand launch was held on 13th November 2023 at Sunway Velocity Mall in Kuala Lumpur. Kevin Foo, Chief Operating Officer of 八度空间, Angie, Program Management and Planning Manager, 黄裕丽,  Program Planning and Creative Director, and 马雅玉, General Manager of the Chinese Production Department, jointly completed the launch ceremony, celebrating the important moment of welcoming the 20th anniversary in advance with the audience.

黄裕丽, Program and Creative Director of 八度空间, stated, "八度空间 has always focused on the originality and uniqueness of program content. As we enter our 20th year, we remain true to our original intention and continue to uphold originality. Therefore, we have decided to upgrade the slogan "本地最霸" to "原创最霸" to better convey our firm commitment and passion for this goal. At the same time, 八度空间 will actively expand into the international market, collaborating with platforms in different countries and regions to jointly produce more diverse original content. This is not only to reward the support of the audience but also to make Malaysian Chinese program content more international in nature!"

As it celebrates its 20th anniversary, 八度空间 continues to fulfill its social responsibility as a mainstream media, promoting charity work and launching the new public service program "Jasmine爱行动" to convey care and warmth and provide substantial assistance to those in need. The 24-episode program, hosted by Desmond郑瑞钥, 陈嘉荣, 王菁忆, Jan秦雯彬, 苏进川, and Charlotte萧心韵, will be aired on 八度空间 every Friday at 9 p.m. starting from 5th January 2024. In addition, Primeworks and 八度空间 have set up the "爱行动慈善基金" in conjunction with the program, encouraging the public to lend a helping hand. An official website has also been created to provide more information about the program and donations. Popular singer Jeryl李佩玲 also made her first public performance of the theme song "光所在的地方," using her voice to convey more emotions and positive energy.

Guest artists attending the event included 李佩玲, Priscilla Abby蔡恩雨, the actors from the Lunar New Year TV movie "龙妈精神" such as 小喵(郑美心), 吕爱琼, Uriah徐凯, Lovell陈馷佳, Anthony蚂蚁, as well as a group of hosts and news anchors from 八度空间.
