Media Release] Passport to Fame 2014: Battle of the Band is back again!
Attention to all Malaysian Band Maniacs! Proudly
presented by Magnum, here comes the
return of the largest live band competition in Malaysia, Passport to Fame 2014: Battle of the Band (Season 4)!
Passport to Fame 2014 will begin in August 2014 in
Klang Valley, it will also make its way to Penang and Johor. The Grand Final will be held at Mega Star Arena, Kuchai Lama
on 18th October 2014, 7pm. To heat things up even
more, there will be a “Band Gigs” on the same day at 1pm, where the bands will
perform different music genre to show their skills! Everyone is welcome to join
us to witness our journey in finding the next Champion of Passport to Fame 2014
(Season 4)!

The prizes for Passport to Fame 2014 are even more
attractive this year! Prizes for the winners are as follow:
Grand
Final
- Champion – RM 15,000 cash prize, DIXON FUSE Drum Set worth RM 5,000, Mega Music World products worth RM 2,000 and Performing at Sundown Festival in Singapore， KeyNg cash voucher worth RM 2,000 and more.
- 1st Runner Up – RM 7,000 cash prize & Mega Music World products worth RM800, KeyNg cash voucher worth RM1, 000 and more.
- 2nd Runner Up – RM 5,000 cash prize & Mega Music World products worth RM300, KeyNg cash voucher worth RM 500 and more.
The winners of each state will walk away with RM 500
cash and Mega Music World Jamming Studio Session worth RM 200.
For the past 3 years, there were more than 150
Malaysian Bands which have participated in this competition and it has made a
big contribution to Malaysia’s music industry. This competition has created
fantastic opportunities for the previous champions, such as our Season 2
Champion – Massdebators had the
opportunity to perform at Tiger Beer
Asian Music Festival 2012.
Mega Ultimate is proud to have one of the members from
dayDream as our guest judges and dayDream will be one of the performing bands
at Grand Final. The band consists of 6 members who are Dae-ren, Ryan-T, Jason, Chris
Lim, Raja and Ryan Han. The organizer is also able to invite Mega Music World
Managing Director, Mr. Poven Goh as Passport to Fame 2014 Chief Judge. He is
formerly a consummate rocker, now he has successfully pursued his dream in the music
academy and retail business. Organizer strongly believed that past experiences
and achievements will certainly benefit all the contestants.
