The organizer, Firm Horizon Sdn. Bhd., proudly announced the Sheila Majid Big Band Live In Sabah concert, which will take place at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) in Kota Kinabalu on 12th August 2023. The announcement was made during the Sheila Majid Big Band Live in Sabah press conference held at the Hyatt Centric Hotel in Kota Kinabalu. The press conference was attended by the legendary jazz singer herself, Dato’ Sheila Majid. The concert is also co-presented by AL Activators Sdn. Bhd.
Yes, this is not just empty talk. Dato' Sheila Majid, the queen of jazz in the country, along with the Big Band, will deliver the best concert with a warm atmosphere at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) in Kota Kinabalu on 12th August 2023.
The concert, fully supported by the Office of the Chief Minister of Sabah, is being brought to Kota Kinabalu to provide a valuable experience for Sheila Majid's fans in Sabah who missed the opportunity to attend the Sheila Majid Big Band Live In Kuala Lumpur concert at the Dewan Merdeka, World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur on 18th March 2023.
According to Raymond Fang, the Managing Director of Firm Horizon Sdn. Bhd., "After considering all the factors and the overwhelming number of Sheila Majid fans, we at Firm Horizon Sdn. Bhd. are delighted to announce that the Sheila Majid Big Band concert, which received a warm reception in Kuala Lumpur in March, will be exclusively brought to the fans in Borneo, especially in Kota Kinabalu."
"The full support from the Office of the Chief Minister has made this event a reality as we received high demand from fans who missed the chance to attend the Sheila Majid Big Band Live In Kuala Lumpur concert due to tickets being sold out quickly."
Firm Horizon Sdn. Bhd. also has a noble intention of donating a portion of ticket sales to the Yayasan Kebajikan Sabah to support their charitable efforts.
"Furthermore, a portion of the net profit from ticket sales will be allocated to the Yayasan Kebajikan Sabah to help those in need. This is our initiative to give back to the community through the entertainment industry."

Dato’ Sheila Majid, aged 58, is fulfilling her promise that the Sheila Majid Big Band Live In Kuala Lumpur concert is not the only one she will organize this year. She previously stated that she would not decline if the same concept were taken outside of Kuala Lumpur.

Sheila Majid Big Band Live In Sabah will witness Dato’ Sheila Majid accompanied by 17 musicians, including horn players, band musicians, and background singers led by the maestro himself, Mac Chew.
