Lumpur, 4th August 2013- Jay Chou, the king
of Mandopop has come to Malaysia for his Opus World Tour Live 2013 Concert. He
has performed for 3 nights in Malaysia from 2nd – 4th
August 2013. (This coverage was done based on the concert on 3rd
August 2013)

A
CONCERT FULL OF SPECIAL EFFECTS!
This concert has been an amazing concert
filled with a lot of special effects such as CGI animated graphics shown on the
screen during the opening and during Jay’s performance on stage. The most
impressive effects was the Holomapping
effect which basically cloned Jay into a few people and sang along with the
real Jay. Besides, the concert was also filled with a lot of explosions,
fireworks and confetti.

FANS-CENTRED
PERFORMANCES!
Jay Chou was very good in fanservicing! He
inserted “Malaysia, I love you” and similar words inside the lyrics of a few of
his songs. He believed that if he can’t sing the lyrics clearly, it didn’t
matter because the fans would still understand what he was trying to sing! Last
but not least, he has sang more than 30 songs which has definitely satisfied the fans!

VARIETY
OF SONGS WERE PERFORMED!
Jay has a diversity of song styles, some are
rap songs, some are Chinese traditional style. During the concert, Jay sang
songs based on the styles. During the first part, it was full of fast paced songs while the second segment
was like a LIVE MUSICAL of “The rooftop”.
There was another segment whereby Jay sang a few of the Chinese traditional
(中国风) song such as “青花瓷” and “红尘客栈”.
Beatbox and
acapella singing was also performed by Jay and his group of supporting singers
too. Apart from that, Jay has performed
a few classics such as “彩虹”, “牛仔很忙”,”星晴”
and “回到过去” too with him
playing the guitar while sitting on a stool.
Besides all these, the concert has featured
guest artists such as Cindy Yuen 袁詠琳 and Darren. All of the guest artists have
performed very well too.
*Some funny things said by Jay during the
concert:
- He said that the lyrics written by 方文山were
too complicated, that’s why he couldn’t sing the lyrics that clearly. If the
lyrics were easier, he would be able to sing with clear pronunciation too.
- He jokingly told to the fans that he used to
put his names inside his old song not because he was vain. It was mainly
because he couldn’t think of any other lyrics to fit in the
song, “完美主义” during that time.
The show then ended with “阳光宅男”. Every fans
were excited and stood up during this last song!

It was overall a superb concert which has
definitely amazed the fans! Without any doubts, Jay Chou is really the king in
Mandopop!
