of the most prestigious awards show in Malaysia, Anugerah Skrin 2019 has taken place last weekend on 1st November 2019 at Merdeka Hall, Putra World Trade Centre

During the event, we get the opportunity to take part in the interviews
with the winners of Best Reality Show,
The Z Power《了不起的Z世代》 and Best Drama Series (Chinese), Sweet
Delicacy, 《开餐吧！吃货小妹》.

Second Season
Announced!
This year, The Z
Power 《了不起的Z世代》 which was hosted by Owen Yap 叶剑锋 has triumphed as the Best Reality Show. It was a tight
competition as the other nominees include 《学霸》,《Bintang
Bersama Bintang Musim 3》and《Da’i》that are very positively received by the audiences as well.
Owen mentioned that he have never expected that they would win the
award. He felt that the main reason would be due to the unique elements in The Z Power which have garnered the
votes. Right at the backstage, it was revealed that there will be second season for The Z Power.
The filming for the second
season will begin next year. The location for the filming is not set yet but Owen felt that it will be more
interesting if it could be filmed in countries with theme parks.
Debbie, on the other hand, expressed that she has been
memorizing the script before she went on stage to receive the awards. When
asked whether she will still be featured in the next season, she mentioned that
she would have been beyond the age limit for the next season.
Besides, there will
also be a Malay Version for The Z Power and both the version will
be produced by the same team.

Delicacy, 《开餐吧！吃货小妹》!
Sweet Delicacy, 《开餐吧！吃货小妹》has
won the best drama series (Chinese) during Anugerah Skrin 2019. The
actor Steve and the directors谭少偶 and苏钰祺 were also shocked with the
outcome. Steve initially thought that he heard wrongly when the winner name was
announced. He has to double-check the English title of the drama before going
up on stage. He was anticipating the winner to be either “My Sensei Nyonya娘惹相思格” or “The Promise守百年之约”.
The
three of them then shared a little of what they have been working on recently. Steve mentioned that he was involved in
filming at Mexico and he has been utilizing his skill as rescue diver in that
project too.
