The Video Games Live Concert #VGLKL
Video Games Live is a live, immersive
and interactive show that brings to life the music of the world's great and
popular video games! The show is a family event, catering to and delighting an
audience of all ages, who love music, video games, enjoy a great live show come
to life. From the classics of Mario,
Zelda, Halo, Final Fantasy, Warcraft through to League of Legends, the show
bring you a 29 piece orchestra (our own
National Symphony Orchestra of Istana Budaya), a live band (led by Video Games
Live founder/creator Tommy Tallarico himself), choir and opera singer to
bring the soundtracks to life! It
promises to be an audio-video explosion of music and the digital world of
gaming and cosplay.
Re-launching of Game On 2.0!
This
time the organizers are re-launching Game On 2.0 to invite even more fans to
take part, with the competition open to those from not just Malaysia but also
Singapore, Thailand, Brunei, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Philippines, South
Korea and Japan! And this relaunch will expand the competition to 3 categories
– 1. Cos-play picture entries, 2. Creative entries (any type of artwork, eg.
paintings, etchings, watercolors etc. 3. Video entries – all 3 categories are
video games themed and entries must be related to video games. From each
category will be selected 1 winner, and each winner will be getting prizes
worth RM2,000+ for each winner!

The
Festival starts at 12pm and will feature some of KL’s best and most innovative
gourmet food trucks.
Be it
Malaysian food to Western, Mexican, Italian, barbecued meats, juices, bubble
tea, ice cream, in fact there will be anything and everything you crave for;
all in a park setting beside the Victoria School grounds. Food trucks will
include Curbside Cantina, Lokka, Forty Licks Ice Cream among others, as well as
Waroeng Penyet and Pacific who will have their freshly cooked food at the
Festival.
The
concert will also showcase a Flea Market. There will be a variety of stalls that
will be selling a smorgasbord of wares from fashion to jewelry, toys to local
delicacies leading up to the grounds of the stadium.
Try
Guitar Hero and see how well you do playing that awesome tune, and compete for
the highest score of the day! There will be a variety of other games with demos
and competitions for everyone to look at participate in. A big surprise will in store for highest
scores! There will also be various game and sponsors tents with many more
activities and gifts galore all day long. There will also be games and games
related wares on sale by the likes of Kyo’s Game Mart and more!
Another
first for a Video Games Live concert apart from the Festival (FREE to all from
noon onwards in Stadium Negara), will be a Super
Hero Fight Out! This segment was brought to you by Tune Talk which consists of demonstration of super heroes in an MMA
sanctioned cage. A series of demo fight will take place against super heroes to
decide who will be the most heroic of all.

of the Video Games Live Festival, the public will be treated to food trucks, a flea market, games
demonstrations and competitions, Guitar Hero, and many more activities, Redbull’s simulators and The
Chief.
This
truck is a sight to behold, transforming into a mobile entertainment platform
with its own stage, screens, speakers, and DJ! You can also buy imported
Redbull at a special price with us on the day (a twinpack for RM12 or 6 cans
for RM32 – a can sells for RM10 at events and retails at RM7). They will also
have their international ambassadors on the day; giving you a taste of what
pure, unadulterated energy is!

Previously
it was announce that renowned singer and Video Games Live soloist, as well as
famed singer on video games soundtracks such as Halo and God among many, would
be a part of the Video Games Live concert in KL. Unfortunately, due to her
health Jillian will be unable to be here for the KL show. We wish her a speedy
recovery and that the concert will not be affected in any way
